Promoting and Encouraging Academic Excellence
Grove Education Foundation for Excellence

Save the Date, April 6, 2019 for the GEFFE GALA!!

The Grove Education Foundation for Excellence has announced the annual GEFFE Gala will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019.  The charity dinner and auction will begin at 6 p.m., at the Grove Civic Center.  The event will feature jam packed live and silent auctions. The prestigious “Shining Star Award” will be announced at the Gala recognizing a teacher, or group of teachers, that had an exceptional grant funded in the 2018 grant cycle.

“We are looking forward to a fabulous event,” said GEFFE Board President, Kristi Wallace.  “We have a very enthusiastic board that has plans for a fresh, fun and exciting event. Board member Kayla York is our event designer and has a beautiful over the moon theme planned. Kayla and her team will transform the Civic Center into a beautiful and elegant venue that our guests will thoroughly enjoy.  The Gala is GEFFE’s primary fundraising event. The money raised at the Gala is given back to the Grove School District through a yearly program that allows teachers to submit their needs through a grant process. Since its inception, GEFFE has awarded more than $1,300,000 to the school district.  “The Grove community is exceptionally generous and that giving spirit is what makes this event and the GEFFE organization possible,” said Wallace. “When donors give to GEFFE, they are investing into the lives and education of the Grove students.”

GEFFE board members are currently collecting donations from local businesses for the live and silent auction. Businesses and individual donors wishing to donate to either the live or silent auction can contact Chelsea Perryman at 918-791-8542.  Corporate tables of 10 can be purchased by calling Jordan Wilhelm at 918-791-8738.
